Their story began at a rave, where she asked him for a lighter. He didn’t have one but somehow, that small moment turned into the beginning of everything.

They met again soon after and hit it off instantly. He asked her out, and their first date took place on his rooftop. A year and a half later, that same rooftop became the place where they got married — proof that some first dates really do set the scene.

Being in their 30s, they both knew love deserved intention. So instead of rushing, they decided to travel together and truly get to know each other. Somewhere between shared laughs, long conversations, and unforgettable moments, they became inseparable. On the way back home from that trip, he asked the big question and she said yes without hesitation.

Their Nikkah took place this October, and now they can’t wait to celebrate their love.

Where is the wedding taking place?

All wedding events will be held at Shangri-La Hambantota, Sri Lanka, a beautiful beachfront resort surrounded by nature and ocean views.

How do we get to Shangri-La Hambantota?

The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI), about 30 minutes from the hotel.

Colombo International Airport (CMB) is also an option (approximately 3–3.5 hours by road).

Where should we stay?

We recommend staying at Shangri-La Hambantota, where all wedding events will take place. This makes it easy to relax, enjoy, and not worry about travel between events.

What will the weather be like in May?

May in Sri Lanka is warm and tropical. Expect sunshine, sea breeze, and occasional humidity. Light fabrics, breathable outfits, and comfortable footwear are highly recommended.

What should I wear?

Each event has its own dress code listed on the schedule.

For beach events, we suggest:

• Light, flowy outfits

• Comfortable sandals or wedges

• Avoid heavy fabrics and stilettos

Are heels okay on the beach?

We recommend flats, wedges, or block heels for beach events, as the sand can make thin heels difficult.

Should I bring anything special?

Yes! We suggest:

• Sunglasses & sunscreen

• A light shawl for evenings

• Comfortable shoes

• Swimwear for relaxing by the beach or pool

Can we take photos?

Absolutely! Capture moments, smiles, and memories.
